As a late diagnosed Adult with ADHD, my life and career has brought me to this point.
I have always worked in the fields of care and education since leaving University. I have worked for the Autistic Society, Harrow Community Team for people with Learning Disabilities, MIND & Wiseworks mental health organisations. Later as a teacher of English, then Psychology and in the last years as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and youth counsellor. Gaining hard earned qualifications along the way.
I have always tried to offer clients and students the patience and understanding that some great individuals and teachers have shown me over the years. Meeting them where they are and helping with the specific areas that are difficult for them. This help was invaluable for me and I have great pleasure in paying it forward. Knowing that with encouragement and the right environment there is no young person who will not flourish.
The theme of ADHD has been unknowingly present throughout my education and career entertaining and causing havoc at different times of my life. With more information over time answering more questions and providing more support and techniques which I can now use to support my clients. My counselling is not limited to students with ADHD but open to any young person who needs support based on unconditional positive regard.
The combination of services I offer has grown organically over time and I have not finished learning yet.
If you have any questions, please contact me, I will do all I can to help.
